Passionate About Creating Unforgettable Vacation Experiences

Arvika Kanot is a small, locally rooted canoe rental in the heart of Värmland. Founded in 1979 by a local resident, the business has always been guided by a deep respect for both the people who live here and the nature that surrounds us. Our priority is to ensure that local life and nature-based tourism can coexist in a harmonious and sustainable way.
We love nature, and we believe in sharing it with care. Rather than rushing through the landscape, we invite our guests to slow down—to experience stillness, quiet, and the simple rhythm of being carried by the water. Paddling is not about conquering nature, but about moving with it, observing it, and allowing space for reflection.
We wish to stand apart from operators focused on survival skills and bushcraft experiences. While those have their place, our philosophy is different. We believe that nature teaches best when we are calm, attentive, and present. By slowing down and truly listening, we gain awareness, respect, and a deeper connection to the environment.
Our values are rooted in awareness rather than survival, simplicity rather than performance, and respect rather than exploitation. At Arvika Kanot, we aim to offer experiences that leave no trace on nature—only lasting impressions in the minds of those who paddle with us.
