Can I drink the water from the lake or rivers?

You cannot drink the water directly from the lake but you can purify it with a filter, purifying tablets or by boilingat least 10 minutes before consumption. We recommend you to bring with you a few liters of fresh water for the start of your tour. But you do not need to bring fresh water for the whole tour (it will save weight on the landtransports).
